Why JRMA?
In 2017, the business was sold as a retirement sale to investors who required in-depth weekly reporting. Judith Ross was already working with one of the investors in a different business, providing bookkeeping services and Sage training. Having experienced first-hand her high standards and work ethic, he was keen to use her services in this new venture. The investors engaged JRMA to provide training on Sage 50 to the in-house accounts team at Blundell.
JRMA services used
The initial work and support JRMA provided to Blundell soon developed. Judith now provides an outsourced Finance Director service, working alongside the in-house accounts team to provide weekly cash flow forecasts, KPIs, VAT, EC sales lists, budget preparation and a detailed monthly management accounts pack. She works closely with the MD, participates in the weekly update calls to the investors and attends the board meetings.
The benefits
The detailed financial reporting provided by JRMA enables the investors to maintain confidence in the business without having to spend too much time on-site themselves. Judith has introduced a revised reporting pack with a clear margin analysis across the range of product and services, which aids decision making.
