JRMA are passionate about helping businesses across Worcestershire to grow. Working as your outsourced accounts department, you can trust us to handle your everyday bookkeeping, payroll and VAT needs, freeing up your time to focus on running the business. Through regular accounts processing and review, we can give you an up to date and accurate picture of how well your business is performing throughout the year, not just at the year-end.

Our story

JRMA has grown gradually and organically, and we are proud of our milestones.

2016
JR Management Accountancy (JRMA) was incorporated as a limited company. We had two part-time employees and we worked out of a shared office space. All of our small customer base was located entirely within Worcestershire from Bromsgrove, Malvern, and Droitwich.

2018
Within two years, we had rented our own dedicated offices, on the ground floor of OCM House in Droitwich, and the team had expanded to 3 full time members of staff. The geography of our customers had grown too with customers from Coventry, Redditch and London. We established a relationship with the University of Worcester with the introduction of our student placement scheme.

2020
2020 was the year of disruption as the entire UK concentrated on weathering the challenges of the pandemic. JRMA was busier than ever before, assisting customers with furlough submissions, and Bounce Bank loan and CBILS loan applications. At the same time, we had to transition swiftly to remote working, and cloud-based accounting systems.

2021
By the beginning of 2021 we had completed almost 9 months of remote working utilising Teams to keep in touch with each other and our customers and even for recruitment. However, we made the difficult decision to pause our student placement scheme until we could safely deliver sustained face-to-face training.

2023 - Current
We became the proud owners of OCM House, and moved upstairs into the coveted first floor offices, overlooking the Droitwich Lido Park, and we welcomed Mindful Financial Planning as our tenants downstairs. We also resumed our relationship with the University of Worcester, and renewed our commitment to training as we welcomed our latest placement student.

Where to next?

We believe that small is beautiful, and we have no aspirations to be a very large, impersonal firm. We plan to expand further, whilst retaining the personal touch and staying connected to our customers. As our practice expands, so does the location of our client base. Our customer portfolio now extends across the UK, with local and national businesses benefiting from our services. However, we remain keen to support local businesses in Droitwich and Worcestershire and will ensure that any expansion is in line with our core values of professionalism, enthusiasm, resourcefulness, approachable, and pro-active.

Let us introduce ourselves:

Judith Ross

Managing Director

Judith is the Managing Director and founder of JR Management Accountancy.

She is also a Jack Russell terrier in disguise. Small, cheerful, exuberant and sometimes a bit feisty. Also, fiercely loyal, a patient listener, and determined, and if you give her a challenge, she will not stop till she has solved it.

Judith has over 25 years’ experience as a professional in business as a CIMA qualified accountant. She has worked within a variety of business sectors and is particularly enthusiastic about the manufacturing and industrial sector. During this time, she has earnt the nickname of Captain Cash, due to her love of cashflow forecasting.

After work, Judith can usually be found either eating or exercising. She likes to be active, enjoying running, swimming, going to the gym, watering her plants and walking her Jack Russell Terrier (no surprises there). To counter the exercise, she is also a great eater, with her favourites being a Sunday roast and carrot cake.

Jo Arnold

Practice Manager

Jo runs the office in Droitwich and is the first point of contact at JRMA. She is an expert in Software training, setting up and system improvements, and has detailed working knowledge of Xero, Sage, FreeAgent and Payroll Manager.

Jo lives in Redditch with her husband, Earl the tortoise and 3 daughters. She is a self-confessed Disney Adult, and a huge theme park enthusiast.

Her love of rollercoasters comes in handy when navigating the ‘ups and downs’ of a cashflow forecast.

Alison Chaplin

Management Accountant

Alison is a CIMA qualified accountant who joined JRMA following many years of working as a management accountant in a variety of industries. She has a detailed knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts, QuickBooks, Sage Business Cloud, Excel and Payroll Manager. Her work oversees the team’s transactional entries through to production of management accounts and client business support.

Alison lives in Birmingham and has run her own online craft retail business. She enjoys time with family and friends, walking, cooking, and her cat.

Rebecca Wood

Bookkeeper

Rebecca (Becki) handles a lot of our bookkeeping work, helping clients to keep on top of the financial recording of all their income and expenditure. Before joining JRMA she worked for Barclays Bank and Prudential PLC, and most recently held a bookkeeping role within the steel industry. As well as being part of our bookkeeping team, she is also our resident expert on Xero accounts software.

Becki lives in Kidderminster with her two adult children. She loves spending time with her family, walking her dog and playing tennis.

Isabelle Absalom

Marketing Officer

Isabelle (Izzy) runs the social media profiles, and manages the JRMA website. She does everything related to marketing including content creation, and analysing the performance of our B2B campaigns. Izzy was originally our Business & Finance Placement Student from 2024-2025, and she's currently doing her last year of an undergraduate degree in Business & Finance from the University of Worcester. She is originally from Australia, and has settled in the UK since 2022.

Izzy lives in Malvern, enjoys crocheting, traveling, and cuddling with her Ragdoll cats. She is learning Japanese (こんにちは!), and aspires to become a beekeeper for her love of science, honey and all things bees.

Owen Rigden

Business & Finance Placement Student

Owen is our current placement student from the University of Worcester for 2025-2026, studying Accounting & Finance. He performs various bookkeeping work, and is developing new skills on Excel, Xero, and QuickBooks. Additionally, working alongside the team, he will be assisting with payrolls, and cashflow forecasts, gaining valuable and practical skills in the workplace.

Owen lives in Wythall, located near Birmingham, and has a dog named Waffles. In his free time, he enjoys football, motorsports, and spending time with his family.
