Part-Time Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant

Small Droitwich based firm is looking for a part-time bookkeeper to work in our highly regarded team. Between 20-25 hours per week across 4 or 5 days.

We are a professional accountancy practice offering bookkeeping, payroll, management accountancy and consulting services to a diverse range of SME clients. We follow a hybrid working arrangement with normally one day per week spent working from home and the rest of the time working in our Droitwich office. 

We are a small team with a collaborative ethos and a flexible culture. We are keen to support the flexible arrangements that may be required from our staff, and we hope to receive a degree of flexibility from our staff in return.

The post will report to the Management Accountant.

Duties:

  • Bookkeeping using cloud-based accounting packages – Quickbooks, Sage and Xero.
  • Data analysis and preparation of reports in Excel
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Payroll preparation and pension submissions
  • General administrative and office support functions
  • Resolving customer queries

We are particularly looking for candidates:

  • With sound knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Who have a flexible approach and team ethic

Experience of working within the accounts function of an SME or within an accountancy practice are equally relevant for this role
